“Now to the one who can do infinitely more than all we can ask or imagine according to the power that is working among us”
Ephesians 3:20 ISV
Born in Queens own in the Eastern Cape during World War 2 as Dawn Wntzel; I grew up in rather poor circumstances. My late Mother and Father did not really attend Church but God gave me a good “Boere” Grandmother who laid the foundations to loving Jesus. She was an incredible storyteller... a gift I inherited from her and my Heavenly Father.
In the natural world my testimony is a sad and humble one; having to overcome difficult circumstances, but glory to God, who is “able to do “infinitely more than all we can ask or imagine according to the power that is working among us”
Despite all my difficulties, history tells us that even plain fisherman have been used by God. Somewhere in God’s great plan there was a place for me too.
Going through more than one divorce, is a humbling and humiliating experience. Yet that doesn’t disqualify us from serving Him. Look how highly God thought of Rahab the prostitute. She deserved so much less but God was merciful. He saved her life and that of her family’s. A woman of Faith she was called in “Hebrews”. Now can you imagine what God can do with you and me!
I have worked in a Legal Office for many years; but now dedicate my life to bringing Hope & Joy in the lives of others especially through song. I have been privileged to launch 2 Music compact discs (CD’s) of my own. I have also reveled in the writing of 3 books. Furthermore I have enjoyed the challenge of Radio broadcasting on Transworld Radio where I was blessed to have a radio program of my own. Through all of the above means I have combined humour and hope in the stories I have told (even when my own heart feels like breaking).
My life’s attitude has formed into this profound statement: “Even if the world and some of my own family reject me; So what! Whether I live or die, I belong to Jesus.”
Today my greatest prayer is that my children will return to the Lord and that I, like Moses, will be granted health to the end “...as your days so shall your strength be” (Deuteronomy 33:25)
